Know Your Germs!

Upstate Medical University and the Golisano Children’s Hospital made a request to develop a touch screen interface to promote various gallery exhibitions they host in their space. “Know Your Germs” was created to allow children to learn about the various viruses and bacteria that were being discussed in various historical medical texts that were on display at the time. Users can interact with the viruses by simply clicking and dragging the germ onto an area on a slide to be seen in more detail. A larger image of the germ appears on the slide with it’s name, facts and information about the particular pathogen.
